Our Junior Judo classes are ideal for helping children develop confidence, focus, and discipline. But we don't forget to have fun along he way. They are also a terrific way to help your child improve his or her Physical Fitness. These classes are very high energy and the kids rarely sit still for long! We teach many of the fundamental skills through games and drills.
Examples of fundamental skills learned are: basic coordination, balance, hand-eye and foot-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Basic hold-downs, falling, and throwing techniques. This class includes a few rounds of sparring on the ground for hold-down.
Juniors are ages 6-13, and younger students are separated to work together in a fun learning environment. If you have younger children please check out our Judo Yochien program that we hold during the winter months.
